A George I Britannia standard silver mug, London 1719 by Benjamin Blakely (reg. 10th Oct 1715) Of rounded circular form upon a spreading circular base and a caulked rim. The cast C scroll handle with a moulded upper junction, the base junction with an oval disc. Engraved to the front with a contemporaneous or near contemporaneous crest of an eagle rising. Fully marked underneath, and with scratch weight 12"13. Height – 11 cm / 4.3 inches Weight – 374 grams / 12.02 ozt
