A George I gilt gesso, walnut and parcel gilt wall mirror, circa 1725, in the manner of John Belchier, the bevelled mercury mirror plate within a moulded border, surmounted by a scroll and acanthus moulded cresting, the pendant cresting centred by a shell motif, 104cm high, 52cm wideCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use.Old chips, splits and some losses. Significant losses to centre of cresting, with gesso elements detached and not present. Plate is possibly original and has the expected significant depletion, bloom and grey spots.
