A George II Walnut Chest-on-Chest, Circa 1750

Condition Report:
In good working order and ready to use. With general wear and typical small dents, chips, nicks, tiny losses and repairs throughout commensurate with age and use. Old repaired age splits to sides and back. The veneers with scattered fraying, areas of losses, patches, replacements, and infill throughout. Two areas of veneer have recently come loose from top moulded edge, approximately 5.25 inches and 2.5 inches in length. However, these will be re-attached and secured by Sotheby's restorer prior to release to the successful bidder. Bracket feet probably associated. The top three drawers across are unlined. All other drawer interiors lined with fabric and not examined underneath. With old sticker to the back with "167" written on it. No key present.
