For a related card table of the period see Christopher Gilbert, Pictorial Dictionary of Marked London Furniture 1700-840, Furniture History Society, 1996, page 169, figure 265.

Condition Report:
Marks, knocks, scratches, and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old chips, splits and small losses. Cleaning and fading to surface. Later baize playing surface. Baize with some wear and lighter marks. It has frayed at the edges and there is a prominent crease/bubbling to the centre. Two sections of replacement timber visible to the underside (see images). Some later blocks to the interior of the carcass as often seen. Some small sections of veneer replaced and other re-stuck. Some later nails used to secure the back of the drawer. Glue residue visible to the rear/top of one leg (see images). Some minor evidence of old worm. To the frieze above one front leg there are neatly plugged holes. These could be from a repair made to the upper terminal of the leg. Some plugged/filled holes visible to the timber of the counter wells. One counter well with old dark ink stain. One rear leg with spliced repair and holes to the underside of the adjacent frieze from bracing. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition.
