A George II walnut chest of drawers, the rectangular top with herringbone stringing, fitted two short and three long drawers, with broad stringing, bracket feet, width 104cm, height 84cm, depth 58cm.
Condition report:
Cracks across the top, also scared with scratches and with minor losses. Ogee mould under with old repairs and some refixing. replaced handles and escutcheons, drawer fronts veneered onto oak. Drawer bottoms cracked. Bottom drawer with repair (top edge right). Minor losses to herringbone stringing. Front outlines with losses. Ends bruised and with some of the banding replaced. Back boards replaced.
