A George III Silver Vinaigrette by Samuel Pemberton, Birmingham, 1816
Part marked inside base and cover. The grille with lion passant only. There is some minor wear to the marks though in general they are still legible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the high points and the gilding. The hinge closes flush.
in the form of a pocket-watch, the hinged cover and base each with foliage border, with loop handle, opens to reveal a foliage and flower pierced and engraved grille
36mm high including loop, 9dwt, 14gr
