A George I/II Walnut Writing Table, 18th Century
A George II walnut writing table, mid 18th century and later, the molded top having a tooled green leather inset writing panel, fitted with a genuine and false frieze drawer to either side, raised on legs ending in pad feet.
Dimensions:Height 30 1/2in; width 46in; depth 25 3/4in.
Provenance:From a Philadelphia Collection.
Condition Report: Structurally sound. The leather top in good condition overall, typical marks, wear, scuffs and Surface scratches. Sun fading to Surface overall. The top is period, but later associated with the base. The base probably beginning life with a marble top. The frieze to either side have been later fitted with a period drawer/false drawer. This reconfiguration is old. No key.
