A George III mahogany and marquetry banded clothes press, circa 1800, 178cm high, 133cm wide, 68cm deepCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and useOld splits and cracks, some chips and losses, there are vertical splits and cracks to the sides of the chest, old chips, losses, and replacements to some veneers and inlaysSome areas of later inset timberThe handles have been replaced throughout, there are old holes to the drawer fronts where others have been - the present handles are Art Nouveau in styleThe lock to the cupboard is later and stuck in the engaged position - there are no keys present to change this, there are no keys to the drawers either, all elements can be opened at presentThe interior with four slides, there has knocked and impacted on the doors and there are marks commensurate with this.One front foot the timber has become detached and requires some gluingPlease refer to additional images for visual reference to conditionCondition Report Disclaimer
