A George III mahogany extending dining table, circa 1810, in the manner of Gillows, the rectangular top with a reeded edge incorporating a central section with two hinged leaf insertions, above a moulded frieze and turned, reeded tapering legs terminating in peg feet, 72cm high, 128cm wide, 273cm long (when fully extended)Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and useOld splits and cracks, some chips and losses,There are no table clips present to hold the top and leaves securely - these would need to be sourced by the purchaser, due to the lack of these the top is not 'flat' or secure at time of reportThere are no additional leaves, the central section with drop leaf action. There are various marks, stains, signs of wear, colour variation and issues with the polish overall, this would probably benefit from a clean and polish overall to make more uniform in appearance.The legs to the gateleg action are weak and have old splits, cracks and openings to joints Overall will probably require some professional restoration prior to use in a domestic setting Please refer to additional images for visual reference to conditionCondition Report Disclaimer
