A George III mahogany occasional table, circa 1780, the piecrust top above birdcage action, 69cm high, 69cm diameter, together with a further occasional table, 66cm high, 74cm diameter (2)

Provenance: Private Collection, Wantage

Condition Report:
Piecrust: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, chips and losses, Old splits and cracks, the legs all with later metal brackets and supports there are some chips and losses around these areas also. top and base appear to be original to eachother second table: This is made of yew, the top and legs appear to be solid, the stem appears to be another timber - all appear original to eachother. With marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, chips and losses, signs of old woodworm, the lock and keeper appear to be original. The inlayed band with old splits and cracks and some lifting, their are natural gouges and unevenness to the surface as is expected with yew. there are other old splits and cracks Please see additional photographs for visual reference to condition and notes above
