A George III silver serving or basting spoon, in plain Old English pattern with engraved crest to terminal. Hallmarked London 1777, with maker's mark and possible attribution to John Innocent or John Jackson II (Grimwade p.259). Length 11" (28cm), weight 3 ozt (93.3 grams).

Condition Report:
- Displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- Some minor surface nicks throughout.
- Slight uneven/lumpy surface to areas of bowl, and slightly heavier wear around the edges, but otherwise appears to have faired quite well.
- Some minor surface rubbing to crest.
- Bottom struck hallmarks, partly squashed but still legible.
- Residues of sticker mark to reverse of terminal.
- Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
