A George III silver soup ladle with shell bowl, in Old English pattern with feather edge enclosing a ribbon tied vacant oval above pendant foliate motifs. Hallmarked London 1813. Length 12.75" (32.5cm), weight 5.67 ozt (176.2 grams).
Condition Report:
- Appears in fairly good overall condition.
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use.
- Some light tarnishing.
- Some minor surface nicks.
- Slightly heavier wear around the edge of the bowl but appears to have faired well overall.
- Some slight loss of detail to areas of decoration but still appears fairly bright.
- Hallmarks located to the reverse of terminal, these legible with some rubbing, mostly to the Duty mark.
- No visible maker's mark.
- Some small scratched numbers below the hallmarks.
