the shape of the punch is in an oval-shaped punch and not a cusped punch that is recorded in Jacksons, of shaped oval form with reeded handle and border, engraved with a bright band and vacant cartouches, worn, the base engraved underneath 'Fountain County',

'Fountain County' could relate to the Fountain County which lies in the western part of the USA state of Indiana, east of the Wabash river. The state was granted statehood in 1816. The county was named after James Fontaine of Kentucky, who was killed at Harmers defeat (modern day for Wayne) on 22 October 1790 during the Northwest Indian War.
