The domed and hinged cover with ebonised wood finial above a shaped spout and conforming wood handle, the facetted oval body later engraved with the Eden shield and base, below reeded and foliate scroll borders, length 31.5cm, gross weight 19.3oz.
The underside of base with later presentation engraving reading: Presented to / Sir William Eden Bart: / on his arrival at Windlestone with his Bride. / by the Tenants of his Durham Estates, / in commemoration of his Marriage with Miss Sybil Grey / on 20th July 1886.
