A George III style carved mahogany sofa, late 19th/early 20th century, the gadrooned top-rail above a padded back, out-scrolled arms and triple serpentine seat upholstered in blue damask, the cabriole legs with conforming gadrooned decoration and cabochon-carved knees above scroll feet, 91cm high, 197cm wide

Condition Report:
Marks, scratches and abrasions comensurate with age and use Some old chips and splits. Some indented marks, some small losses. Of solid structure overall No obvious stains or condition issues in regard to the upholstery The frame appears to have been applied with a coloured shellac overall. This is worn or marked/ scratched in some places, most noticeably to the top rail of the back where. There are some very minor white marks to the frame also (probably from paint). Some evidence of re-gluing to joints. Some remnants of dried glue to the exterior of the frame. No makers label/stamp found. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition.
