A George V Silver-Mounted Dunhill Lighter Maker's Mark W&G, Possibly For Wise and Greenwood, London, 1928, Retailed by Alfred Dunhill and Possibly Lacquered by Namiki Manufacturing Company

oblong and with rounded corners, the sides with maki-e lacquer depicting exotic birds on branches and foliage and on a gold speckled black ground, patent number 143752 45mm high, 38mm wide

Fully marked under base. Further part marked on screw cap and top. Further marked with French import marks on top and bar. Base further marked with A/D mark and engraved 'Alfred Dunhill Paris' and 'Pat No143752'. There are some some chips, rubbing and minor losses to the lacquer. The front panel is slightly bruises. There are some further bruises to the silver mounts. The lever arm lifts properly. The lighter has not been tested to see if it functions properly. We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. We cannot guarantee a reply to any requests made within 48 hours of the start of the auction. The absence of a Condition Report from a lot does not mean that the lot is in perfect condition.
