A George V silver bachelor teapot of bulbous form with beaded rim, hinged lid with wooden finial and stained wood handle, the whole raised upon a short spreading circular base. Hallmarked Charles Edwards, London 1918. Gross weight 14.34ozt (446 grams).
Condition Report:
- The teapot appears in fairly good overall condition.
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- There are some residues of blackened polish around the spout and handle.
- The hinge appears in good working order.
- Hallmarks located to main body and partly repeated to reverse of lid. Maker's mark to main body is heavily rubbed but clear and legible to lid.
