A George V silver salver, the circular form with a 'Chippendale' style rim enclosing an engraved border of ribbon tied pendant and swag motifs, and the whole raised on fluted and splayed bracket feet, together with a matching smaller example. Both hallmarked Mark Willis & Son, Sheffield 1915. Diameters measure 12.5" (31.5cm) and 10.5" (26.5cm), total weight 45.43 ozt (1413 grams). (2).
Condition Report:
- Both salvers appear in fairly good overall condition.
- Displaying some expected surface wear and tarnishing commensurate with their age and general use.
- With some scratches, marks and minor surface nicks, these heavier to some areas.
- Small floods of solder visible around joins of some of the feet.
- Both stand firm on their feet.
- Hallmarks a little rubbed but all legible.
