A George V silver visiting card case, of slightly curved rectangular form with suspension loop, having engine-turned decoration throughout of alternating wavy and straight lines, and an initialled panel to a lower corner. Hallmarked Martin Hall & Co Ltd., Birmingham 1927. Length 3.25" (8.3cm), gross weight 1.17 ozt (36.5 grams).
Condition Report:
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing in keeping with the age and use.
- A few minor surface dints and bumps including a slightly larger dint along the opening edge.
- Hinges appear in good working order and it does close securely. However a slight gap remains when closed.
- Hallmarks located to the inner rim, with a further date letter and lion passant to the lid. Some wear and rubbing around the edge of the maker's mark, otherwise all in good order.
