A Ghaznavid engraved bronze vase, Iran, 14th century and later, on flat base, with rounded shoulder and tubular neck, decorated to body with large teardrop-shaped medallions containing scrolling foliage alternating with large vase shapes containing similar decoration, the neck with large silver-inlaid inscription in thuluth, the silver possibly added later, 28cm. high. Provenance: Private Collection, Denmark formed in the 1980s.
