A Japanese Blue and White Vase Lamp
Lot Details & Additional Photographs Late 19th century, a shaped urn vase with elephant handles flanking either side of the neck, beautifully painted in very fine detail with a picturesque temple by the sea with a great pine tree and birds overhead, the upper band of decoration around the upper body has abstract Japanese family crests or mons, the entire vase has very fine crackle, it has been fitted as lamp with raised wooden base and brass mount top, with an ornate filigree finial, comes together with a vintage style shade.

Drilled for lamp; discoloration or age spots to brass.
