A Japanese Imari 'Black Ship' porcelain circular bowl, Meiji period, painted inside and out with opposing panels of black ships against a trellis ground, diameter 18.8cm (hairline crack to rim), together with another Japanese Imari bowl, Meiji period, the exterior painted with kirin and phoenix amongst vapours, the interior with foliate panels, underglaze blue four-character mark to base, diameter 19cm (repaired chips to rim and footrim).
