A Japanese hardwood, embroidered and painted two-fold screen, Taisho period
With pierced crestings carved with flowers and foliage, the panels to one side painted on textile with scenes of a palace and temple in a landscape, to the other embroidered in cream hued silks with flower vases and birds on a black ground, above openwork carved base panels and within fret and key panel carved frames, each fold 83cm wide x 202cm high.
