Koshirae: tsuka (handle) of black ito (thread) over white samé (ray skin) and gilt menuki (hilt grip ornaments) of a floral design, fuchi-kashira (top and bottom of the handle fixtures) are shakudo (alloy) representing a bamboo leaves design, with an iron mokko-gata tsuba (lobed hand guard) with a peony design
