A KUBA RUG, EAST CAUCASUS

approximately 156 by 105cm; 5ft. 1in., 3ft. 5in.

Condition Report:
(Rug is illustrated 'upside down' in catalogue and in direction of weaving online. Condition report refers to online image.) Date more likely last quarter 19th century. Colours are all good, pile good overall, with browns slightly oxidised and very slight wear in red medallion at upper end of field, Original side cords and end finishes with some restorations to cords on left hand side. Small reweave on right hand side visible as a lighter purplish blue approximately 6cmlong just into outermost edge of guard stripe.
