China, Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) to Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The oviform body rising to a short cylindrical neck with flared rim, with four lug handles applied to the shoulder, the unusual dark aubergine glaze stopping well above the base.
Condition: Good condition with minor wear and glaze flakes mostly to the upper rim and handles.
Provenance: British private collection. The recessed base with a collector's label.
