A LARGE GILT-SPLASHED BRONZE CENSER AND STAND
LATE MING-EARLY QING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The globular body resting on a slightly countersunk base flanked by a pair of handles in the form of mythical beast heads attached with loose rings. The body is adorned with an array of irregular gilt splashes. The base is cast with a Tiannian tang zhi hall mark. The circular stand is pierced to the top with an aperture and raised on three feet terminating in protruding roundels.
