A LARGE IMARI BALUSTER VASE LATE 17TH CENTURY 41cm high, 31cm diameter overall Condition Report: 39.5cm high, the top 16.5cm wide, the base 14.5cm diameter Condition is generally good with some typical rubbing to gilding from handling, firing faults notably to base, one flaw has expanded slightly upwards into lower edge of main body with diagonal stained cracking, and with characteristic crazing to glaze. Under UV light there are restorers' fingerprints and signs that a thin crack may have had attention to it. Additionally, there has been spotted infill to small areas of loss to one upper panel.
