A LATE 19TH CENTURY GOLD, GARNET, TOPAZ AND WHITE ENAMEL FRINGE NECKLACE ATTRIBUTED TO ALFRED PHILLIPS CIRCA 1890 The necklace with alternating cut down collet set circular cut garnets and oval cut golden topaz, with beaded gold flowerhead and polished trapeze shaped panel links between, each gem suspending an alternating golden topaz and garnet drop, with white enamelled leaf and pearl or simulated pearl tops, stamped A.P., to a S shaped hook clasp Size/dimensions: 38.5cm long Gross weight: 38.3 gramsThe pearls are untested and unwarranted as natural pearl. Condition Report: Topaz measuring from approx. 10.35 x 8.43 x 4.79mm to 8.15 x 5.4 x 3.65mm, of a yellowish orange hue with fair saturation and good transparency. Some typical natural inclusions and abrasions to facet edges visible upon closer inspection. Central one with eye visible feather. Garnets of a purple-red hue with good saturation and transparency. .
