A Large Japanese Porcelain Imari Charger by Fukagawa Seiji
late 19th century, finely hand painted in imari palette of cobalt blue, iron red and gilt, central medallion has a scenic riverscape, a thick band of decoration with floral ground and four medallions with Japanese seasonal motifs, with Koransha orchid symbol above signature "Fukagawa Seiji" to the underside, five kiln spur marks, three coin motifs with ribbon in cobalt blue.
