These Louis Vuitton trunks have been in my family for as long as I can remember. They have literally travelled the world with the Welles family.
When I was growing up in the 50s and 60s, we only travelled by ship and train, giving us the luxury of using these fabulous trunks as luggage. From Beverly Hills to India, Rome to Hong Kong, Madrid to Hawaii, London to the Philippines and so many more trips, far too many to remember...

Condition Report: Possibly with previous LV restoration or refurbishment. In overall vintage worn, used condition. General marks, scrapes and scuffs to wood,leather, canvas and brass. Tears to canvas at back. Hardware darkened overall. With verdigris to front hasps. One handle lacking, the other off at one end. Must odor to interior. Interior with staining. With lift out tray. Closed securely. No key.
