A Louis XV-style gilt-bronze mounted turtleshell contra-boulle mantel clock, circa 1860

3½-inch thirteen piece enamel cartouche dial, signed to the centre Payne & Cie, Paris, the similarly signed Vincenti movement with Brocot suspension, outside count wheel striking on a bell, the waisted case with eagle surmount, veneered in brass and inlaid with red shell
37cm. 14½in. high

Condition Report:
Dial in generally good condition with minor chips around the right winding hole. Movement is complete but very much in need of a clean, servioce and overhaul.Case in genrally good condition, mounts rather dirty and some are loose. With a penduilum and a winder.
