stamped L. FOUREAU JME, with later marble top, and with two labels inscribed in ink 15180, with typed label Collection André Meyer New York 1970 and typed label inscribed E8

Condition Report:
In good general condition overall and ready to place. Some restoration and retouching to lacquer decoration. Both sides with repaired vertical age splits and traces of glue infill visible. As often occurs the central apron pendant of the lower drawer has suffered old damage and is partially reconstructed, and apron mount possibly later. Sabot of proper left rear foot with break to upper acanthus section, and angle chute of lower proper right front leg later cast and gilt. Scattered old inactive worm holes to carcase. Legs with repairs and splices, and back legs each with a groove approx. 4 in. in height running vertically along inside back edge. Gilding with minor rubbing in places and of good color.
