A MASONIC KNIGHTS TEMPLAR YORK RITE CEREMONIAL SWORD
Ca. late 19th century AD. An antique American Masonic Knights Templar York Rite ceremonial sword with an etched blade holding a crowned Passion Cross, as well as other decorations, the name of the owner S. N. Shumman, and the manufacturer information. The sword has a wood handle with a red enamel cross on a metal plate, and a brass knight head pommel connected with a guard by a chain. The brass guard features the crowned Passion Cross, a symbol of the Order of the Temple as found in the York Rite, and two Crosses laid upon the Cross Pattee. Manufactured by the Henderson Ames Company, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Comes with an original scabbard with chased Masonic decorations.
