A MEISSEN FLORAL ENCRUSTED PORCELAIN MANTLE CLOCK, UNDERGLAZE MARK, LATE 19TH CENTURY, with a vertical finial of colorfully enameled blooms stopping on stylized rockwork above a circular dial ringed by a variety of blossoms, enclosing a repousse gilt brass face centering white enameled panels with cobalt blue Roman numeral hours and reticulated gilt metal hands over twin key escapements, raised on a rockwork neck behind figures of a dancing youth and maiden in 18th-century costume flanked by a similarly attired boy flutist and a girl playing her lute, on a conforming groundwork base with "C" scroll feet and mounted with blossoming leafy stems, gilt highlights throughout, verso Meissen underglaze blue crossed swords mark beneath hand incised "No 1047," includes pendulum.
