shape number 1937, decorated by Marc Louis Solon, incised L Solon, incised, of baluster form with a waisted trumpet neck, applied at the shoulder with gilt and platinum enriched rope-twist handles terminating in Bacchic masks, decorated in multi-colored slips, the front with a maiden wearing a diaphanous gown holding two hearts tied with ribbon, the reverse, with an oval medallion of cupid holding a hammer, both within gilt-edged navette-shaped panels, the shoulder and base with oak-leaf tendrils, crowned globe Mintons marks in gold, impressed MINTONS mark, letter M, date code for 1884.
