A Meissen Polychromed Porcelain Dolphin Sauce Tureen Marks: (crossed swords) in blue underglaze 5 x 6 x 2-3/4 inches (12.7 x 15.2 x 7.0 cm) The present sauce tureen is in the manner of the modelled figured of dolphins included in the Swan service, commissioned by Count Heinrich von Bruhl and designed by Johann Joachim Kaendler in the mid-18th century.
