A Meissen porcelain chinoiserie group, c.1750-55, blue crossed swords mark, impressed | mark, modelled by P. Reinicke, with a couple seated before a pierced rococo arbour applied with meandering flowering branches, at discussion and holding a closed book, on a mound base applied with flowers, 19cm high Provenance: Works of Art from the Schroder Collection. Note: The model is based on an engraving by Gabriel Huquier, after a work by François Boucher.
