In good and stable condition overall. The drawer opens and closes smoothly. The velvet surface having patterns of wear throughout and lightened marks from the outline of items previously sat on the surface. Few scattered instances of loss to the marquetry detail bordering the velvet surface, some pieces retained. The brass mounts mostly intact, with a section of loss to the beading detail along one section of the stretcher, retained. Some splitting in the veneer, particularly to the top, but remaining intact.
