A Nepalese black stone stele of Simhavaktra. 17th century
Standing on a lotus and surrounded by a flaming aureole, the lion-faced devi holds a kartika and a kapala in her primary hands, and a damaru and a khatvanga in her secondary hands. She wears a skull crown and a long garland of heads around her neck. Remnants of gilding and polychromy. Metal base.
