the upper half with a central door opening to reveal an interior fitted with an arrangement of tulipwood-veneered drawers, flanked on either side with two small drawers above gilt-metal figures, the sides each with a door opening to two drawers, above further sliding drawers, the lower half with a frieze drawer and two cupboard doors with one shelf inside, differences of constructions between cabinet and stand
overall: 184.5cm. high, 108cm. wide, 62.5cm. deep; 6ft.⅜in., 3ft. 6½in., 2ft.½in.
cabinet only: 92.5cm. high, 96cm. wide, 58cm. deep; 3ft.½in., 3ft. 1¾in., 1ft. 10¾in.
Condition Report:
In overall good conserved condition with minor old marks, scuffs and scratches consistent with age and use. The surrounding to one cabochon towards the top left of the cabinet with losses to ivory which have been refilled. A small moulding to the top of one column on the left side of the cabinet is missing, this is not distracting. There are other signs of ivory inlays having been refilled. Three keys and with instructions for opening.
