A North Schleswig Empire partiel silver-gilt vinaigrette, gilt interior, of vase-shape, hinged upper part, body with two memorials and two handles, chased with garlands and foliage, set with red glass stones, bottom with hinged balm hide and here pricked 1850. Maker Martin Petersen Hommelhoff, licensed in Tønder 1796–1827. Weight 76 g. H. cm.
Provenance: Christian Peter Jensen (b. Jernvedlund near Ribe 1893, d. in the late 1970s in Haderslev). He was known as “Antik-Jensen” in his antique shop in Haderslev in the 1950s-1970s. Thence by his descendants until today.
