A North Schleswig Empire silver vinaigrette, gilt interior, of vase-shape, hinged upper part with pierced finial and five green glass stones, body with two memorials, four red glass stones and two handles, engraved with geometric patterns, bottom with hinged balm hide and here pricked “Mette Chr: Peters Datter 1840”. Maker Thomas Jensen Zittorius Lange, licensed in Tønder 1820–1864. Weight 42 g. H. 10.5 cm.
Provenance: Christian Peter Jensen (b. Jernvedlund near Ribe 1893, d. in the late 1970s in Haderslev). He was known as “Antik-Jensen” in his antique shop in Haderslev in the 1950s-1970s. Thence by his descendants until today.
