A North Schleswig Louis XVI partiel silver-gilt vinaigrette, gilt interior, of vase-shape, hinged upper part with tapering finial including a clear glass stone, body with two handles and two red glass stones, engraved with geometric patterns embossed with leaf garlands, bottom with hinged balm hide and here pricked “CFS AMND”. Maker Martin Hinrich Petersen, licensed in Haderslev 1784–1824. Weight 61 g. H. 9 cm.
Provenance: Christian Peter Jensen (b. Jernvedlund near Ribe 1893, d. in the late 1970s in Haderslev). He was known as “Antik-Jensen” in his antique shop in Haderslev in the 1950s-1970s. Thence by his descendants until today.
