LOT NOTES
The pair of paintings included in the present lot is based on 17th century prints of the Wall Street area called Exchange Place. The paintings, which are oil on canvas from S.N. Dodge Artist & Painter�s Supply Store in New York City, are Dutch in style, reflecting the earlier period of New York architecture. They are vibrantly colored and boldly drawn, resembling work by artists like Thomas Chambers in their dramatic aspect.
