Pair of maple shaped dishes decorated with a design of chrysanthemums in overglaze enamels. At the bottom marked: “Genroku 6 [1693; the year:] tori, Kaki” (attribution). The character “Kaki” revers to the name of the maker Sakaida Kakiemon (a hereditary name). These plates are known for the year Genroku 6 (1693), 8 (1695) and 12 (1699) but were later copied.
