§A ‘PALACE SCENE’ PAINTED AND PADDED SILK PIEN MIEN / RIGID ROUND FAN WITH A LACQUER HANDLE
China, Qing Dynasty, 18th to 19th century
The obverse adorned with a painted palace scene with numerous characters with ivory-applied faces. The reverse adorned with a padded silk decor of six courtesan / young beauties as well as with auspicious vases. Offered at auction encased within a plexiglass box.
