Attributed to the Asteas-Python Workshop, Circa 340-320 B.C.

Height 7 1/4 inches. Continental Decorative Arts
Intact. Several very small flake chips in the underside of the rim. Other minor surface wear as is typical.

Harlan J. Berk, Ltd., Chicago, 11 February 1991 (with invoice).

This oinochoe (shape 3) was attributed to the Asteas-Python Workshop by A.D. Trendall in personal correspondence, March 15, 1991. This piece was likely later published in Trendall’s supplements to The Red-figured Vases of Paestum. A copy of this correspondence will be provided to the purchaser.
