A Pair of Oversized Louis XV Carved Beechwood Fauteuils à la Reine by Louis Cresson (French, 1706-1761)

Seat Height: 18 inches.
Arm Height: 25 1/2 inches.
Each appear in overall good, stable, attractive condition. One example stamped 'L. Cresson' to back of seat frame, the other example not stamped but is clearly a pair to stamped example. Upholstery is clean and intact, each with small areas where velvet has been compressed from storage. One example with a small area of fill to front left leg, possibly from worming. Other example with some fill along joint where crest rail meets sides of back frame. Both examples with later blocking to frame for additional stability. Additional images available upon request.
