The inverted bell top surmounted by a foliate cast brass handle above a gallery of pierced giltwood sound frets flanked by foliate cast urn finials, the square gilt-brass dial with a silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, sword hilt half and half-quarter hour markers, the movement with five ring turned pillars, twin fusees and spring barrels with gut lines, the strike train with hour strike on a bell, the going train with knife-edge verge escapement and well pierced and engraved backcock, pull quarter repeat on four bells via four hammers; the backplate engraved with scrolling foliage and signed 'Peter Walker London'
